Animatic Review

Shot Length - My two minute sequence has 56 different shots, this is over the average amount so this means it needs cutting down and as well because my sequence is about 2 minute 30 seconds long which is too long anyway. The average length of my clips are about 2.5 seconds which is a good length however there are a few over the length of 3 or 4 seconds which will need cutting down which will be a reason why my sequence is so long.

Camera Movement - The camera stays pretty much still throughout our film, it's mainly just showing a variety of close ups, mid shots and long shots although there are a few pan shots and zooming in. This means we will have to ensure that our still shots are well composed and make sure we keep the viewers interest. My animatic doesn't show the consideration of shot composition too well which could be improved on.

Sound Levels - The only sound on my animatic is the dialogue recordings. The recordings on my sequence are at a good sound level and are clear meaning you can hear them well. There is no music in the background of my sequence but I feel that if I had some it would improve it because it's quite boring to watch when there is no sound. The dialogue clips are fitted well with enough blank space before and after, making the clips work well with the recordings.

Voice Acting - The majority of the script dialogue being spoken sounds very convincing. However there are a few areas which could be worked on because they just don't have any enthusiasm in it. A bit of rehearsing could be needed, as well as possibly a new character to speak for Henry as that was a males voice being put on by me.

VFX - The VFX in the sequence are relatively clear as long as you can work it out from the drawings. We have various amounts of VFX in there but we've drawn it out how we interpret it.

Peer Feedback - The things I found from my peer feedback was that they were very engaged and really enjoyed the story, however they found it a little hard to follow at times this could be due to lack of narrative in the sequence and unidentifiable drawings. Another point raised was that they found the shots were a little too long sometimes.
